Galway’s live music guide: Sunday 28th October

Happy spooky Sunday to all you beautiful halloweeny Galwegians!! 👻 It’s another spectacular October day out there today and perfect for the Out of the Wild Sky – Macnas Parade 2018, Galway which starts at 5:30pm! As usual there’s a whole heap of music going on across the town to get you in the mood. Here are just some of those events…

At 4:30pm you can catch local legend The V when he joins some of Galways finest musicians for the Salt House sessions. Richie Brennan and the Vibe Tribe continue to bring their Old school Rock and Blues to E-Bruns from 6pm. Sin a Deir Sí hit the stage in Monroe’s Galway at 6pm. The Barnyard Trio will be getting things going in Garavans at 6:30pm. Il Vicolo is the venue for the finest in Sunday Jazz by the river under the watchful eye of Szymon Misniak. Mouse McHugh is back in Monroe’s Galway at 8pm.

The Get Down Edits are teaming up the honourable gentleman Padraic O’Connor in the The Blue Note Galway from around 7:30/8pm for what promises to be an unforgettable night of music!

Greg Cotter and Mary Flanagan are in the Crane bar from 9pm curating one of the friendliest Country/Folk sessions in the county. At 9:30pm you can catch Jade Reynolds and the Rollover in Massimo Bar Galway.

If you happen to be across the river then be sure to drop into Tigh Neachtain and see all the hardworking staff getting into the Halloween spirits! The venerable Turlock Holmes will be joining Ailbhe Hession and the smiling men of Pyramid in the Quays Bar Galway from around 10:15pm. Karl Clews and the Superfreaks will be bringing the funk to the Dail Bar from Around 10:30pm

The Róisín Dubh Comedy carnival is taking place all week in our spiritual home so we’ll taking the night off. However if you feel like some quality comedy check out tonight’s line up!

7:30pm: Reginald D Hunter, Phil Nichol, Tanyalee Davis, Tom Rhodes & Kevin McGahern.

8:30pm (upstairs): Lisa Casey Comedy, Shane Todd, Andrew Ryan, Christopher Macarthur-Boyd & MC Martin Beanz Warde – Comedian.

Then at 10:30pm they’ve got the second last Late Night KARLnival of the Festival. And it’ll be a stellar one!
