Galway’s live music guide: Sunday 21st October

Happy Sunday to all you beautiful Galwegians!! It’s another gorgeous October day out there today, perfect for kicking back and enjoying all the wonderful music on offer across the town. Here are some of the events taking place today…

You can catch some early music at The Salthouse Bar Sunday Music Session featuring some of Galways finest musicians doing what they do best and there’s an open fire going too! Music starts around 4:30pm. If you really want to treat yourself this afternoon then be sure to get along to the “Yurt” in Eyre Square and check out the amazing vocal sounds of The Blue Notes at 5pm

The Sunday trad session in Monroe’s Galway continues downstairs from 6pm with Sin a Deir Sí bringing the tuneage. The Vibe Tribe will be bringing some old school Rock and Blues along with some free food for the early birds to E-Bruns at 6:30pm. Szymon Misniak is at the helm in Il Vicolo this evening where you will find some sweet Sunday Jazz going on from around 7pm. The Undertones perform in Eyre Square toady at 7pm as part of the incredible Speigeltent Sessions with support from our very own Oh Boland

Down the wesht the The SeshWans will be providing some gentle Sunday sounds in the The Blue Note Galway from around 7:30pm. Sinnerboy will be honouring the legend that was Rory Gallagher in the Roisin Dubh at 8pm. Mouse McHugh is back playing all your favourite songs in Monroe’s Galway from around 8:30pm. Greg Cotter and Mary Flanagan continue to host their weekly Folk/Country session in the Crane Bar from around 9pm. Massimo Bar Galway plays host to the soothing sounds of Jade Reynolds and the gentlemen of the Rollover from 9:30pm.

If you happen to be across the river then be sure to drop in Tigh Neachtainand catch the awesome Benjamin Turner and his band rocking out from around 9:30pm. At 10:15pm you can see the phenomenal Ailbhe Hession when she performs alongside Turlock Holmes and those smiling men of Pyramid in the Quays Bar Galway. Bass maestro Karl Clews will be bringing his magic to the Dail Bar from around 10:30pm and we will be hitting the stage in RD at around 12 midnight!
