Unofficially started back in 2013, Founder David Renton says of the inaugural event: “It wasn’t very good. So bad in fact that we don’t acknowledge it as the first Synapse.”
The following year Synapse was re-branded with a vision to “facilitate the connection and continuing conversation between [tech] industry professionals and students studying to enter the industry.”
It is a mark of the continuing dedication of all involved since the first Synapse that the list of tech companies attending this year now includes Amazon.com, Ericsson, SAP, MetLife, Schneider Electric, Blue Tree Systems, Cisco, Aviva, Intel and Avaya.
Over 1,000 students from the university are expected to attend the event throughout the day. Doors open at 11am with the first talk from Ericsson at 12.
